Many of you will know that I collect chickens. These are "My Girls". Every time I go out to the backyard they come running just in case I have some scraps for them. Yesterday when I went out, no-one came running. I checked in their run and all I found were hundreds of feathers. A rotten fox had got to them in the daytime. I hope they didn't suffer too much.

Oh NO! How horrible for you.
ReplyDeleteoh noooo Christine, how sad, there seem to be a lot of foxes around at the moment.xx

That's dreadful Christine - I am so glad that we don't have foxes.

ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to read this.
Oh No poor girls....how awful!
ReplyDeleteHello Christine,
ReplyDeleteOh how sad, nothing worse than cleaning up after the dread Mr Fox.
Bev.xoxo
Not good...we also have foxes and that is one reason I don't have chooks or ducks.
ReplyDeleteMaybe you can get some more after your holiday.
Oh poor Christine and the poor girls. That is so very very sad.
ReplyDeleteChristine, what a shocking loss.I hope it was very quick for them as well. Hopefully the fox will now move areas as you have no more hens. So that the new lot will be safe.
ReplyDeleteOh, that is so sad!! Oh dear. You need to get a burro to scare those bad animals away.
