Shirley MacDonald
15th November, 1924 - 20th December, 2013.
Today the world lost a very special person.
Noel's Mum, my Mother-in-law and
the boys' loving Grandmother.
Mum died peacefully at home with family around her.
She was such a beautiful person.
When it came to the mother-in-law stakes, I really hit the jackpot! I was always treated as one of her daughters,
not just a daughter-in-law.
This morning I spent about 3 hours sitting with Mum, just stitching and listening to the music she loved. A lot of the time it was just the two of us. It was lovely to spend this special time with her. I know she would have loved it too.

Many thanks must go to the wonderful Banksia Palliative Care Nurses and Royal District Nurses for the loving care they gave to Mum and the wonderful support to the family.

My sincere condolences to Noel, you and your family at this sad time. She sounds like she was a beautiful special person...big hugs xxx
