Friday Night Sew-In

I've finished all the applique on my "Happy Stitcher" hanging.
Last night I started the embroidery part. I have come to the conclusion
that I'm really not a needle turn appliquer (not sure how to spell that).
The fiddly little pieces nearly drove me mad! LOL! But I'm glad I persevered.
Thanks to Wendy for hosting us last night.
You can see what the others got up to here.

  2. You did a great job of your needle turn Christine. I'd rather do machine applique then needle turn. Lovely stitching...

  3. I've not tried needle turn applique but from the sound of it...it would be too fiddly for me too. Yours looks lovely though so you did a good job! Very pretty.

  8. Despite your angst the needleturned applique looks lovely but I know what you mean. I prefer blanket stitch myself but some things do lend themselves to the needle turn technique. Just do what you feel most comfortable with.

  10. Oh boy! That block could certainly hang in my house! Untidy would be a generous way to describe it. Do I care? Nope, I quilt! Lol!
