It's Party Time!

Hi Everyone. I've made it to the party.
I've got my Quilting Girl socks on!
Just made a cuppa. It's a bit too early for
me for wine. I'll save that for later.
I've got choccies to give me energy.
I've decided I'll stitch the binding down
and sew in the threads of my baby quilt.

I hope everyone is enjoying themselves.
Head over to Chooky's to see what's happening there.

Quilty Stitches, May OPAM and A Party!

Earlier in the week, Corey from Little Miss Shabby
gave us blocks 9 and 10 over a couple of days.
Block nine - Pin Wheels.
 Block 10 - Playful Petals.
I wish I could get a good photo to
show you the true colours.
I was a bit more productive this month with six finishes. Much better than the one finish for April!
Fat quarter bag, thread catcher,
needle case and scissor fob.
Barb's fat quarter bag.
Christmas door hanger.

I'm hoping to join everyone at Chookyblue's Chookshed's 2nd birthday virtual party. I'll be popping in at some point over the weekend, in amongst the basketball and footy matches. I'll probably be working on some secret sewing.

Have a great weekend everyone.
Hope to see you at the party!

Last One Finished!

Yesterday Block 12 of my FQS BOM arrived.
I cut it out last night (along with another 3 projects)
and put it together this afternoon.

The twelve finished blocks.

The finishing kit is all ready. As the FQS is so generous
with their BOM's, I'll see what I can cut out from the
left overs first before I break into this lot.

Well, back to the sewing room I go!
I hope you're all having a lovely weekend.

A Christmas Finish!

I've finished my Snowman Door Hanger.
It is from Gail Pan's Simply Christmas 2013.
I really enjoyed making this one.

My Mill Rosie Swap Gift!

The lovely Shez was the recipient of the swap gifts I made. A fat quarter bag, thread catcher, needle case
and scissors with matching fob.
I used some of my lovely Bonnie and Camille fabrics.
There were some extra goodies too.

So there you have it, another wonderful
Mill Rosie Friends get together.

It's Come And Gone!

Our Mill Rosie Friends get together, that is!
It was another wonderful day.
A little quieter than normal as some of the girls weren't there (but they were in spirit).
Another wonderful selection of gifts.
This swap's theme was 3 sewing items.
The gifts are drawn out of a hat and everyone ended up with a swap package that suited them. It was just as if the gifts had been made for particular recipients.
I was lucky enough to receive the gifts Barb had made.
Just look at all that beautiful stitching!
A pin cushion and matching needlecase.
They matched perfectly with my dress!
Barb also added a cute red robin tin with some DMC threads inside. The colours really look nothing like this. They are so much prettier. Needles, pins, a latte sachet and yummy chocolates. They were all wrapped up in some pretty fabric that Barb had lined the pouch. Thank you so much, Barb. I just love my swap gifts.
Can you believe I got all this stitching done? No!

Well, due to all the talking happening, this is what I
actually got done. I did manage to stitch two words. I think
that was pretty good (more than last time).
I stitched the rest Saturday night.

I'll show you what I made tomorrow.

Friday Night Sew-In

In between doing the washing, I prepared a stitchery and made a start on it. I also finished another project
but I'll show you that another day.

I plan to continue this stitchery, in between all the chatting that is, at Mill Rose Cottage with Mel and the girls. It will be interesting to see how much more I actually get stitched!

Have a lovely weekend everyone!

Some Sewing!

A fat quarter bag in gorgeous Bonnie and Camille fabric!
I finally got Block 8 finished of my Quilty Stitches
Sampler Along. This  one took a while.
We're half way through now.
Block 11 of my FQS BOM is done.

It seems like ages since I've finished anything.
But here has been lots of secret sewing happening.
Here's a sneak peek for you.
It's Friday Night Sew-In with Wendy. In between getting the washing done, I hope to get a little stitching in. There'll be more stitching tomorrow as Mel and I head off to Ballan to catch up with the Mill Rosie Friends.

A Woodwork Project!

As part of their VCAL studies, Mitchell and Austin worked on making these tables for the preps to sit and eat their lunch. The class had to work out the average height of the preps and then draw the plan for the tables and work out what they needed to buy. Next job was to build them.
I think they have all done a wonderful job.

Tonight we're off to a Presentation Ball as Mitchell
is partnering the lovely Lucy for her debut.
Hopefully, I'll get some lovely photos to share with you.
