Final OPAM For 2020!

My last two finishes for 2020!
Jemma's cushion.

Fee's Hoop

Many thanks to Kris for keeping us inspired during 2020.
I'm hoping to get a lot more stitching done next year as Noel
has now officially retired, so that means I'm retired too!

A BBQ, Cricket and FNSI

Last night we went to Mitchell and Steph's for their first
BBQ in their new home. So I didn't get any stitching done.
For the first time ever, Noel and Mitchell were playing in the same
cricket match. Mitchell played down to fill in for Noel's team as he was
finishing a bit earlier to be groomsman for one of his mates whose wedding
had been delayed due to COVID (you can't leave early in the higher grades).
This is probably the only time they will play together.
Noel took up cricket to help out last year and is playing again this season.
Nothing like taking up a new sport when you're 64!

I watched the cricket for a little while and then headed home
to join the girls in the Northern hemisphere for their FNSI.
I worked on my Tilda hexagon quilt.
Thank you to the lovely Wendy for hosting
Friday Night Sew-In this year.

F Is For Fee!

I made this stitchery hoop for the lovely Fee
Fee runs the Tilda Lovers Club on Facebook
She is such a generous and giving lady and I just thought
I would like to send her a little thank you surprise.
I used one of Michelle Ridgeway's (Rag-Tag Stitching) designs.

Well, this is my final finish for 2020!
I'm looking forward to 2021 with new adventures.
Noel is officially retiring at the end of this year
and our new "life in retirement" will begin!

Another Cushion

The final handmade gift for Christmas (I think) other
than the Christmas gift baking (which is also now done).
I have made this for Nelson's girlfriend, Jemma.
I haven't made a rectangle one before and am
very pleased with how this has turned out.

Thanks to Kris for keeping us inspired.

Friday Night Sew-In

Not much to show you as it's some secret stitching!
You'll have to wait and see what it is.

Thanks to Wendy for hosting FNSI.
You can see what others got up to here.

Two Dolls and a Hound Dog!

I've finally had a chance to take photos of the toys.

 Autumn's doll.

Madelyn's doll.

Zavier's hound dog.

Don't you just love the hound dog!
Now all the kids presents are ready for wrapping.

More Christmas Gifts

I've made Santa sacks for the two new baby girls in the
family and one for Nelson's girlfriend.
I just love these Australian animal Christmas fabrics.

A candle mat using Fee's design from the Tilda Lovers Club.
I managed to fluke getting the bees in just the right spot for the candle.
Didn't even think about placement when cutting them out.
Nelson's girlfriend Jemma loves avocados so I made her an avocado apron!
I finally finished stuffing the dolls and hound dog
but haven't stitched up the gaps yet.
You'll have to see them next time.

OPAM For October

Can you believe it's an end of another month!
I made five cushions for presents.
My zippy pouch.
Plus two buntings.
A total of eight finishes for October.
Thanks to Kris for keeping us inspired.

Meet The Girls!

Meet Gertie, Mabel, Ruby and Dot!
It has been over eight and a half years since we had chickens.
They were taken by a fox while I was away buying their food.
It was always planned to build a more fox proof yard but it
just never happened. Although when the fox got them,
they were roaming around the yard, not in their area.
Noel and Austin started rebuilding the chicken run.
The house has been moved up higher in the yard.
Molly and Rex made sure everything was right!
They seem to like their new home.
Molly and Rex on guard duty.
In case you're wondering, Rex has a sore on his head
that he kept scratching, so out came the cone!
It's almost healed now so he'll be happy to get it off.
This is looking up from where the chicken house used to be.
Noel has made it into his orchard and veggie garden.
Looking down from the new house.

We're just waiting for them to start laying
which should be any day now.
I have missed having those yummy fresh eggs!

A Bunting We Will Go!

I've finished two more Christmas presents.
Bunting for Thea and Billie.
Thea and Billie are sisters so I've made them matching.
I'm still shopping in my stash and didn't quite have
enough to do all the flags in the pink but I think the spots work okay.

Can't show you the toys yet as I haven't finished stuffing them.
I keep starting new presents! There are four more presents,
as well as the toys, in different stages of production.

I Did It!

I have conquered my fear of zips!
After looking at a YouTube tutorial on putting zips in a cushion,
I did it. It was so easy and I just don't know why I have always avoided them.

"H" for Harmony.
The first five Christmas presents for nieces and nephews finished!
As I was now an expert on zips, I then made the
challenge project from the Tilda Lover's Club on Facebook.
This was a little bit trickier but I got this made quite quickly.
