A Tilda Pin Cushion

Earlier this year on a visit to her house, Melody
(The House on the Side of the Hill) gave me my own little set of fabrics and said "Let's have our own little
stitch-a-long"! So off stitching we went.
Well, I've finished my pin cushion.

Tilda fabrics make everything look so lovely!
Thanks for our fun little stitch-a-long, Mel.

Christmas Hostess Stitchalong With Jenny

Did you see Jenny's (Jenny of Elefantz) 5-day
Christmas Hostess table topper stitchalong tutorial
last week? It was a wonderful tutorial
with very clear instructions.
Here is my version of Jenny's
Christmas Hostess Table Topper.
Aren't these Christmas fairies so cute!
Thank you Jenny for sharing this wonderful
tutorial and pattern with us.
Jenny is also starting a  Stitchery Club.
Head over here to find out more.

Framed!

My Quilty Stitches Sampler is finally framed. I was given this frame a few years ago and it turned out to be the right size for my stitching. Still tossing up if I like the cream
with the white aida or whether I should paint it.
But for now it can stay as it is.
Thank you to Corey (Little Miss Shabby
for this great stitch along.

Quilty Stitches All Stitched!

Our Quilty Stitches Sampler Along has come to an end.
It has been great getting back into cross stitch.

I have now finished Block 16, the Good Cheer block.

Here they all are. Now to give it a wash and a good press.

I had a square shabby frame that I thought I would use but it does nothing at all for the stitching, so I'll have to go looking for a different frame.

Thank you to Corey for this fun stitch a long.
I have really enjoyed stitching along with you.
You can see some of the other girl's samplers here.

Some Stitching!

Block 15 of my Quilty Stitches Sampler Along is now done.
Only one more block to go!

What A Weekend! (Part 2)

 Saturday morning I started quilting.
My stitches aren't very small but I've been able to keep them reasonably even. Probably by the time I get to the end I'll be doing tiny stitches.
I managed to get the centre block and four of the melons done. I also started the second ring and got the centre done (it's a bit hard to see).
I stitched one and a half Block 14 of my Quilty Stitches! Yes, one and a half. I started down the bottom with the blue and then stitched the red. When I got to the last line, the top of the red, I realised I was one stitch out. I had started stitching on the wrong row! It took me about the same time to unpick it as it did to stitch it! Talk about annoying!
Blocks 1 to 14. Only two more to go.
I also finished off two more Christmas decorations.
I really enjoy making these.
Finally, some of the goodies that came home with me.

Only 361 days till we head off again!

Quilty Stitches!

Block 13 of my Quilty Stitches Sampler Along is done. According to Barbara Brackman, this block is called a Friendship Star block.
 Only three blocks to go!
It's Friday Night Sew-In hosted by Wendy at Sugarlane Quilts. I'm hoping to get some prep work done.
See you tonight!

Friday Night With Friends and Footy!

It was lovely sitting and stitching with everyone last night. I worked on my Quilty Stitches Sampler Along which has been quite neglected over the last couple of weeks. This is block 11 called the "Japanese x & + block”. Corey has also downloaded Block 12 so I have some catching up to do.
This morning Austin played football for the
Bundoora Under 19's team! The four Yarrambat boys from the Under 17's played well and they had a great win.
Mitchell also had a good win today.

I'm not too sure what's going on at our place.
Austin at 15 playing Under 19's and last week Nelson filled in after his match and joined Austin in the Under 17's (and he's only 13)! What was very exciting about that match
was Nelson kicked a goal! Nelson's stats now read
Under 14 - 5 goals, Under 17 - 1 goal!

Quilty Stitches, May OPAM and A Party!

Earlier in the week, Corey from Little Miss Shabby
gave us blocks 9 and 10 over a couple of days.
Block nine - Pin Wheels.
 Block 10 - Playful Petals.
I wish I could get a good photo to
show you the true colours.
I was a bit more productive this month with six finishes. Much better than the one finish for April!
Fat quarter bag, thread catcher,
needle case and scissor fob.
Barb's fat quarter bag.
Christmas door hanger.

I'm hoping to join everyone at Chookyblue's Chookshed's 2nd birthday virtual party. I'll be popping in at some point over the weekend, in amongst the basketball and footy matches. I'll probably be working on some secret sewing.

Have a great weekend everyone.
Hope to see you at the party!

Some Sewing!

A fat quarter bag in gorgeous Bonnie and Camille fabric!
I finally got Block 8 finished of my Quilty Stitches
Sampler Along. This  one took a while.
We're half way through now.
Block 11 of my FQS BOM is done.

It seems like ages since I've finished anything.
But here has been lots of secret sewing happening.
Here's a sneak peek for you.
It's Friday Night Sew-In with Wendy. In between getting the washing done, I hope to get a little stitching in. There'll be more stitching tomorrow as Mel and I head off to Ballan to catch up with the Mill Rosie Friends.

Quilty Stitches Progress!

I thought I would give you an update on my Quilty Stitches Sampler A Long with Corey (Little Miss Shabby).
Block 7 is the Lone Star of Paradise.
The seven blocks so far. I am just loving getting
back into some cross-stitch.

Final Camping Post and FNSI

Our final afternoon was spent relaxing.
Can you guess what I'm doing?
 Yes, you're right. Stitching!
I managed to get a bit of stitching done for the week.
I stitched Block 6 of my Quilty Stitches Sampler A Long.

Finished stitching my snowman.
Started on a new secret project.

I hope you've enjoyed seeing what we got up to
on our holiday.
You didn't get too bored, I hope!

I joined Wendy and the girls for Friday Night Sew-In. As it was a holiday, I got an early start on my sewing.
Block 10 is put together which is good as
Block 11 is on it's way!

Then I almost finished Block 7 of my Quilty Stitches Sampler A Long with Corey while watching  the movie, Chocolat. I'm sure if there had been football on the tv,
I would have got it finished! LOL!
