Meet The Girls!

Meet Gertie, Mabel, Ruby and Dot!
It has been over eight and a half years since we had chickens.
They were taken by a fox while I was away buying their food.
It was always planned to build a more fox proof yard but it
just never happened. Although when the fox got them,
they were roaming around the yard, not in their area.
Noel and Austin started rebuilding the chicken run.
The house has been moved up higher in the yard.
Molly and Rex made sure everything was right!
They seem to like their new home.
Molly and Rex on guard duty.
In case you're wondering, Rex has a sore on his head
that he kept scratching, so out came the cone!
It's almost healed now so he'll be happy to get it off.
This is looking up from where the chicken house used to be.
Noel has made it into his orchard and veggie garden.
Looking down from the new house.

We're just waiting for them to start laying
which should be any day now.
I have missed having those yummy fresh eggs!

A Bunting We Will Go!

I've finished two more Christmas presents.
Bunting for Thea and Billie.
Thea and Billie are sisters so I've made them matching.
I'm still shopping in my stash and didn't quite have
enough to do all the flags in the pink but I think the spots work okay.

Can't show you the toys yet as I haven't finished stuffing them.
I keep starting new presents! There are four more presents,
as well as the toys, in different stages of production.

I Did It!

I have conquered my fear of zips!
After looking at a YouTube tutorial on putting zips in a cushion,
I did it. It was so easy and I just don't know why I have always avoided them.

"H" for Harmony.
The first five Christmas presents for nieces and nephews finished!
As I was now an expert on zips, I then made the
challenge project from the Tilda Lover's Club on Facebook.
This was a little bit trickier but I got this made quite quickly.

Friday Night Sew-In

Last night I started stuffing the first of the Christmas soft toys.
This is just a peek. I'll show you what I've made when it's all finished.
Even if I do say so myself, I think he is rather cute!

Thank you to Wendy for hosting us.
You can see what others got up to here.

PS. I've just figured out how to get single spacing with a return.
On the tool bar where it says "paragraph", change it to "normal".

Friday Night With Friends

With not being able to really go out and shop,
I've decided to make the nieces and nephews Christmas presents this year.

Last night I cut out lettering ready to be ironed down.
Also finished stitching baby Ameliana's Santa sack label.
Gave up with baby Darcie's as I kept missing single
 threads and continually unpicked.

Thank you to Chez for hosting us last night.
You can see what other's got up to here.
