The Grand Final Result

After a hard fought match that was neck and neck,
the boys unfortunately lost the match.
They played so well against the top team who were undefeated this season. The game was really only lost in the last few minutes when the other team got a bit of a lead.

Congratulations boys.
It was a great achievement getting to the Grand Final.

Nelson would like to thank everyone
for their lovely good luck messages.

A Tilda Pin Cushion

Earlier this year on a visit to her house, Melody
(The House on the Side of the Hill) gave me my own little set of fabrics and said "Let's have our own little
stitch-a-long"! So off stitching we went.
Well, I've finished my pin cushion.

Tilda fabrics make everything look so lovely!
Thanks for our fun little stitch-a-long, Mel.

Two Christmas Finishes!

Two Christmas finishes for the gift box.
A cute little Gail Pan elf.
Simple Joys by Natalie Bird of The Birdhouse. This was a pre-printed kit Mel gave me a couple of years ago. Don't you just love the little Theodora Cleave reindeer button!

FNSI and Chatting with Leanne Beasley!

A little bit of stuffing was all that I managed. I had hoped to stitch this up at NOTYQ this afternoon but was too interested in what Leanne Beasley had to tell us!
I was then too busy chatting with Leanne and others.
Leanne is a wonderful speaker and I could have sat
there for ages listening to her.
 Member's quilts of Leanne's designs.
I got to have a photo of my quilt with Leanne.
This is the label on my quilt. I had my photo taken with Leanne when I had basted my quilt and was ready to
start the quilting. We were at a stitchery day
in Yarragon in 2007. I started my quilt in January 2006 and finished it in July 2007.
It was my first hand pieced and hand quilted quilt.

Friday Night Sew-In and A Missing Quilt!

It's Friday Night Sew-In tonight hosted by the lovely Wendy. I'm hoping to finish off a small project I've been working on.
Do you notice something missing in this photo?
I've taken down my "Something Pretty For Me" quilt for a special display. Tomorrow is our Guild Meeting at NOTYQ and our guest speaker is none other than Leanne Beasley!
We are going to have a display of Leanne's House
projects made by NOTY members.

Friday Night With Friends

My FNWF started Friday morning with a trip into town with my tennis team. We didn't make finals so it was time to go out for lunch. We went to Grossi Florentino. Even got to meet Guy Grossi who came over and chatted with us!
Noel, Mitchell and I then went up to the footy club to catch up with friends as it is a year since our President passed away. So needless to say, no stitching was done!
My plan today is to join the Northern Hemisphere girls and finish the latest block from Jenny's Vintage Kitchen
Then I'll decide what other project to work on.
Thanks to Chez for hosting us last night.

First Finish For June

My first finish for June is a mini Christmas hanging.
Just need to buy a little hanger for it and
it will go into the present drawer.
This is the book I used for the stitchery.
