A Quilt For Billie

I realised I hadn't shared my finished baby quilt.
It was made for our newest member of the family, Billie.
I've called it "Scrumptious" as I used a charm pack of Scrumptious
by Bonnie and Camille. I added other B&C fabrics so there are no two
prints the same as I had enough different ones to avoid duplication.
The photo doesn't really show the colours very well.
Mitchell being silly showing the back.
In February 2018 my great nephew Darcy was born with heart problems.
After putting up a great fight for 167 days,
Darcy grew his angel wings on 4th August 2018.
This is big sister Thea, introducing her and Darcy's baby sister.

Premiers!

WOW! What a day.
Saturday saw Nelson's team win the
Northern Football Netball League 2019 Division 1 Grand Final.
It was both exciting and stressful watching the game.
In the end they won by 8 points.
 Being presented with his medal.
 Team Nelson!
Pa would have been so proud of Nelson.
I'm sure he was watching from above.
 Proud brothers.
That smile hasn't left his face.
Back at the club rooms to celebrate.
Onto "Silly Sunday".
Nelson's team mate, Ferg, is also a MacDonald.
So the two of them decided to have a McDonalds theme.
Now you know my project last week.
This photo was submitted to the "Mad Monday"
Facebook page although it's now been taken down.
Perhaps they have to pay McDonalds royalties!

Friday Night Sew-In

Friday saw me working on Nelson and his mate's costumes for
"Silly Sunday" after playing the Grand Final yesterday.
I'll do a special post tomorrow all about the
football match and Silly Sunday.
Let me just say "Winners are Grinners"! LOL!
Thank you to Wendy for being such a lovely hostess.
You can see what others got up to here.

September FNWF and Off to the Grand Final!

I had a lovely evening stitching my next block
of Jenny's Phyllis May's Kitchen
Hopefully, I'll get some more done this afternoon.
Thank you to the lovely Chez for hosting us.
You can see what the others got up to here.
Saturday morning Nelson played in the Second Semi Final.
Coming back from 16 points down at half time they won by 10 points!
So that means they go straight to the Grand Final in two weeks
(they have a break next week while the Preliminary Final is played).
So exciting!

OPAM For August And Some Stitching

One finish for August. Remi's quilt.
Thanks to Kris for keeping us inspired.

Block 1
I'm slowly making progress on my Phyllis May's Kitchen by Jenny of Elefantz.
My version is called "Lillian Elizabeth's Kitchen" after my Grandmother.
Block 2
I just love this block!
