OPAM For September

Four finishes for September. My Tilda swap goodies.

 The Happy Stitcher wall hanging.

Thanks to Kris for keeping us inspired.

It may be just me but I hate this new blogger. It puts the photos in reverse order and adds larger line spacing. I wish they'd go back to how it was. Rant over!

A Tilda Swap

I have recently taken part in a Tilda inspired swap
with the Tilda Lover's Club on Facebook.

My swap partner was Monika.

I made her a stitching folder.

We also had to make a decoration.

The third item was a Tilda inspired card.

I didn't have any card stock so I made a fabric postcard.

This is what I received from Monika.
A lovely cross-over bag and a gingerbread man swag.
She also put in some chocolates.
Speaking of Tilda, look what Mitchell & Steph
and Nelson & Jemma gave me for my birthday!
A bundle of Tilda "Old Rose".

How lucky am I!
Now to decide what to make with them.

Friday Night Sew-In

I have finished my "The Happy Stitcher" by Natalie Bird.

Don't you just love the colours!

I have the perfect spot to hang it in the sewing room.

Thank you to Wendy for hosting us last night.

My New Sewing Room!

My new sewing room is all finished and I'm so happy with it.
This is what it use to be like.
I now sit and look out the window when using my machine.
Most of my fabrics are in the chest of drawers.
It's so much lighter and brighter!
We had put the wardrobe in for Nelson so now it's storage for me.
One side has drawers and shelves and
there's shelving in the other sections.
All of my lovely things are on display.
Last year I inherited another treadle machine from
Noel's second cousin, Noela. I've put my original
one in here and Noela's one in the lounge.
This little girl came home with me as well.
I have named her Noela Shirley
after Noela and her sister, Shirley.
I don't know which sister she belonged to.
She is very old (Noela was almost 90
when she passed away) and I have fallen in love with her.
Her face is fabric but has a hard back on it.
Maybe someone knows about these kind of dolls.
If you do, I'd love to know.

Well, I hope you've enjoyed the tour of my room. I just love it!
My mojo seems to have returned as well!

Friday Night With Friends

I got an early start to FNWF as I had finished all my chores
thanks to Austin, who had an RDO,  insisting on doing
the vacuuming for me. What a wonderful son!
I started off with some prep work for a swap
I am doing with the Tilda Lover's Club on Facebook.
Then I settled down on the couch last night and did a
little stitching while watching a movie.
As it's a surprise, I can only give you a little peep!
Thank you to the lovely Chez for hosting us.

Well, I'm off to my sewing room to work on the project.
I'll give you a tour of my new room tomorrow.
