Butterfly Brooches!

There hasn't been a whole lot of sewing going on here for a while.
But before I left for our trip I made these 12 felt brooches.

They were for the Show Committee members to
wear at last weekend's NOTYQ Quilt Show.
They are a much prettier aqua blue in real.

I'm still slowly working through the photos from our trip.
More seem to be uploading with the usb cord which is good.
I'll certainly be glad once I have them all backed up on computer.

I'm Back and A Quilt Show!

I'm back from our outback adventure to the Kimberley and the
Kandiwal Aboriginal Community at Mitchell Plateau!
In fact, I've been home about 3 weeks or so.
What an amazing time we had. I have so much to share.

There are over 2,000 photos and 500 videos.
My iCloud storage ran out of space so not everything uploaded.
I've been trying to upload them the old fashion way using a usb cord
but it's not behaving itself. I'm now slowly going through
every photo on my phone and cross checking
that they have uploaded to the computer.

So what have I been doing in these past 3 weeks?
No sewing sadly!
I was preparing for the NOTYQ Quilt Show of which
I was the convenor. There were so many beautiful quilts.
The Viewer's Choice winner was Linda with her "Colour My World"

Second Viewer's Choice winner was Monica with her "Nebula".
I entered my "Lillian Elizabeth's Kitchen" quilt.
It is very exciting to tell you that I won Viewer's Choice 3rd prize.
(Not a very good photo)
Here's a better one.

After many years of giving out rosettes at the
quilt show, I now have one of my own!
So now it's back to my Kimberley adventure photos.
It's taken me many hours so far and I'm only half
way through, not counting the videos!
