Rings, rings and more rings

As some of you already know, I've been working on my Double Wedding Ring quilt. I've now got 12 rings together and have started piecing ring number 13. We spent the day yesterday at Kinglake watching some cricket matches. It was very pleasant sitting in the shade with a cool breeze, piecing some "melons".

I've prepared rings 14, 15 and 16 and my aim is to get these put together by the NOTY retreat in August (am I aiming too high?). I'll then decide if I need to do another row of rings.

Fun at msac

During these holidays we are doing lots of little day trips. So far we've been mini golfing, ten pen bowling, swimming and Wednesday we took the boys to msac (Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre). They had a great time in the wave pool. It turned out to be the day they also have the inflatable things going at the pool. There was a crocodile kind of thing for them to climb over and an inflatable slide from the second highest diving platform of the tower. Needless to say, that after about 5 hours at the pool they were exhausted.

Merry Christmas

For the first time ever, we had a "real" Christmas tree. The fragrance is just lovely. I never get sick of smelling it. Here's Nelson opening his presents under the tree on Christmas morning.

Fun in the Yarra

Well, it didn't take me as long as I thought to figure out how to post a picture!

On a hot day a last month, we took the boys for a swim in the Yarra River at Warrandyte.

Blog slowly coming together!

Well, I'm slowly starting to put this blog together. Hopefully, you will be able to keep up to date with what we have been up to.

At the moment, getting everything ready for Christmas is the main thing. The boys are all on holiday and now comes the fun part of keeping them occupied.

I'll have to try to figure out how to add photos now. We'll wait and see just how long this takes. You may be waiting quite a while (LOL)!
