I've finished all the applique on my "Happy Stitcher" hanging.
Last night I started the embroidery part. I have come to the conclusion
that I'm really not a needle turn appliquer (not sure how to spell that).
The fiddly little pieces nearly drove me mad! LOL! But I'm glad I persevered.
Thanks to Wendy for hosting us last night.
You can see what the others got up to here.

Your block looks lovely though.
You did a great job of your needle turn Christine. I'd rather do machine applique then needle turn. Lovely stitching...
A very cute block.
I've not tried needle turn applique but from the sound of it...it would be too fiddly for me too. Yours looks lovely though so you did a good job! Very pretty.
looks great ….
Hugz
Your applique looks wonderful, you did well.
I admire anyone who does any hand stitching. Pretty block.
Your applique looks great! I think the fiddle bits are a pain for anyone who does needleturn lol
Even if you don't enjoy it Christine, your block looks wonderful! Love it.
Despite your angst the needleturned applique looks lovely but I know what you mean. I prefer blanket stitch myself but some things do lend themselves to the needle turn technique. Just do what you feel most comfortable with.
Looks GReaT to me... xox
Your panel looks great! Glad you persevered as I always think that needleturn applique looks so much nicer. xx
Oh boy! That block could certainly hang in my house! Untidy would be a generous way to describe it. Do I care? Nope, I quilt! Lol!
I dunno Christine....I reckon you've done extremely well...looks great to me! and did you REALLY come to my place on Friday night to sew????? My House is Untidy block really resonates with me.....thought you might be trying to tell me something! lol So happy you did join in for FNSI...xox big sugary hugs :o)
Your needle-turn appliqué looks great to me! It is a technique that I really struggle with. Have a good week! We're having a heatwave here!! Christine xx
