Friday Night Sew-In

Nelson had a Friday night football game so I couldn't stitch along then.
I joined the girls in the Northern Hemisphere on Saturday. Got myself
set up in the morning and then went to Mitchell's football match.
Rex found himself comfortable spot with a perfect view!
When I got home I started working on a new baby quilt.
The other baby quilt is finished but I can't show you that yet.
 I am doing it quilt-as-you-go.
Next I spent some time preparing the applique pieces for the first
two blocks of Jenny's Phyllis May's Kitchen (this is block 2).
Will have to wait until I get some more Vliesofix so I can prepare
some more. I'm off on retreat in a couple of weeks and
this is one the projects I plan to work on.
Noel, Austin, Nelson and Paris headed down to Sandy Point yesterday
and are heading off on a hike at Wilson's Promontory today,
along with some others from their Kokoda trip.
In case you're wondering why Noel is holding his phone up, that's
because they were phone chatting with me so I'm there too!
With them still away, that means another day of sewing for me!

Thank you to Wendy for hosting us.
You can see what lovely things others stitched here.
Well, I'm off to hopefully finish putting the quilt together.

It looks like Rex is following the game intently. Some lovely projects happening at your place.

So good you got to do some sewing in between watching the boys footie with Rex and Molly...
Nice to have some ME time while Paria, Austin, Nelson and Noel go hiking....

Quilt as you go is such a blessing when in a hurry to have a finished quilt.
It's saves the arms too not having to hold up a large quilt while quilting on a domestic machine... xox
