First Friday Night Sew-In For 2021

I got an early start to FNSI and got back to my trimming my
Tilda fabric scraps that I had started the day before.
I used a die cutter to cut the hexagons for my quilt and was
left with this shape fabrics. So I trimmed the fabrics to usable pieces.
My work station.
One pile of pretty little scraps!
And now I have a box of usable pieces.
Once I finished doing that, I laid out the 1 1/2 inch squares
I had been cutting for a project as I went along.
I also hemmed my nephew's cricket whites for him
but apparently mending doesn't count for FNSI! LOL!
Then I sat down with my feet up to work on my hexagon quilt.
I decided the scraps were too pretty to throw away
so now they are in this jar on my shelf!
Thank you to Wendy for hosting us.
You can see what the others got up to here.

I love my Tilda fabric and what a novel way to keep those scraps

It's so hard to toss out any Tilda, no matter how small. What a great way to store and look at those pretty scraps!

It is nice to be able to make an early start with pretty results. Love the fabric jar and no calories.

Fabric scraps should always be displayed in glass jars as they are so pretty. Oh, I had a thought....I wonder how your nephew would feel if you stitched a hexie (or two) to his cricket whites. =)

OH YES I think mending does count........

A busy time - and profitable too. xx

Glad you managed to make the most from the fabric left over from the hexies. I agree with Maria that mending does count.

Such a lot of trimming and sorting but so worth it to get useable pieces. Love the jar of scraps! Well done with your Tilda makes so far this year (previous post).

As a Tilda fan I love your projects and using up smaller pieces. The chopping up pieces takes time but worth it in the end

That is a big job cutting up all your scraps but well worth it. Love the jar of scraps.

You made some great progress on that pile! I'm envious of the fact that you sat right down and trimmed up the scraps into usable pieces. I tell myself to do that but never seem to get there! That jar is gorgeous. I do something similar with my wool scraps!

Lovely work, and what pretty fabrics. I could not get rid of the either.

Lots of pretty fabrics in that jar what a great idea. The 1 1/2 inch squares look so pretty, lots happening there. Enjoy
