OPAM For July

 Four finishes for July.
Jack's baby quilt.
Christmas Wishes stitchery.
Sashiko mug rug.

Scissor fob.
Thanks to Kris at Tag Along Teddies for keeping us inspired.

Is anyone else having problems editing gadgets in their sidebar?
Blogger isn't let me keep the same colours in my finishes list.
When you go into edit, you see all sorts of codes in amongst my list.
Very annoying!

A Mystery Box!

Recently I purchased the first Tilda Lovers Club Mystery Box
from Fiona at Fee Fee and Me.
There were 4 different kits plus other goodies.
It came all packaged up in a lovely box.
These are the first two projects I made.
A Sashiko style mug rug. I really enjoyed stitching this
as I haven't done Sashiko stitching before.
A scissor fob.
The kit came with everything needed.
Even this gorgeous bit of bling!

There's still a lot more goodies in the box.
Will share the next project when I finish it.

Lucky Me!

Recently, Julie from My Threadbear Life
had a giveaway and I won her first prize.
My parcel arrived from New Zealand beautifully decorated.
Tony, my delivery guy, said I must be pretty special
to get such a lovely parcel! LOL!
More lovely doily decorations!
Julie makes her own candles and puts them in
up-cycled containers. I wish you could smell the scent.
The fragrance is French Pear and it's beautiful.
There was a mug rug made with beautiful Tilda fabrics.
This one now sits on the table next to my spot on the couch.
Julie also made a decorated tea towel.
Again she has used Tilda fabric and added a lovely trim.
Look how beautifully she finished off the towel with a hanging loop
Little finishing touches.
There was also a knitted dish cloth,
along with some chocolates, teas and tea infuser.
I found Julie's blog back in 2016 and we've corresponded
every since. I hope to one day get back to
New Zealand and meet up with Julie in person.
Thank you so much Julie. I feel very spoilt.
Head over to Julie's blog to see all her beautiful work.
You won't be disappointed!

Christmas Wishes

My Tilda Christmas Wishes stitchery is finished.
I bought one of those cheap white frames from Kmart
and gave it a light sand before painting.

The red was a perfect match for the thread.
I'm so happy with how the frame came up with painting it.
You may remember this was given to me by
Karen of Sunburnt Quilts back back in July 2014.
Well Karen, it's only taken me 7 years but it's finished! LOL!

Friday Night Sew In

It was lovely stitching along with everyone last night.
I did a little stitching down of the binding on my hexagon quilt.
When I got tired of binding, I worked on one of the
projects from my Tilda Lovers Club mystery box.
Well, we're back in lock down #5 here in Melbourne.
Melody and I were supposed to be attending a stitching gathering
in Ballan today but, of course, it has been cancelled.
I've just changed Mum's and my flights to Sydney for the fourth time.
And it's looking very likely that I'll be cancelling Noel, his brother and sisters
and my trip to Palm Cove in August in the next few days.

Thanks to Wendy for being such a lovely hostess.
You can see what others got up to here.

A Baby Quilt

Now that it has been gifted, I can show you the baby quilt I made.
I found this cute giraffe fabric and it was perfect
as we didn't know the gender of the baby.
As it turned out, we have a new great nephew, Jack.Inspector Rex gave his approval.

Friday Night With Friends

I managed to get a little bit of stitching in early
before we headed out to dinner and the theatre.

Thank you to our lovely hostess, Chez.
