Nelson's Choice

"Nelson's Choice" 

Nelson chose the pattern and fabrics for his quilt. 

The photo really doesn't show up the colours properly.

I pieced a panel for the backing using up the scraps.

Once again Leanne at Leanne's Quilting Services has 

done a wonderful job of the quilting. 

She used a beautiful blue/green varigated thread.

  

Nelson is very happy with his new quilt. 

I have to admit I was a bit out of my comfort zone with this one. 

Definitely not the usual pretty fabrics I work with!

FNSI And A Special Football Match!

  

Friday night I finished cutting out a new quilt. 

I've finally cut into my bundle of Tilda Old Rose!

  

This is one of the projects I am going to take to retreat next month.

Yesterday was a special day in the MacDonald family. 

For the first time ever, Mitchell, Austin and Nelson 

played in the same football match together. 

This season they have joined Reservoir FC and played in the seniors. 

No win but Mitchell kicked one goal and Nelson one goal and one point. 

Don't know how often three brothers get to play together in one team!
