Woodand Stitchalong Week 4

This week's project for the Tilda Woodland Stitchalong
was this lovely little fabric basket. I think I'll be making more of these!

Friday Night Sew-In

I sat down to stitch last night while we watched the new series
of Outlander that was released this week.
There were a lot of spots where I was sure
I had seen them before. For some reason, we had started
watching the second last one from season 4!
So we kept watching to bring us back up
with the story as it had been a while since we had watched it.
Will start season 5 tonight!
I managed to get the writing done along with a little bird.
Not too bad considering Jamie Fraser
kept appearing on the screen! LOL!
In case you don't know him, this is Jamie!
I was given this Tilda stitchery for a Tilda swap
by Karen of Sunburnt Quilts. Eeek! I looked it up
and that was back in July 2014!
Definitely time to stitch this one, especially as
I'm really getting into Tilda with the Tilda Lovers Club.
Thank you to Wendy for hosting us.
A special thank you to Kitty Rose Cottage
who is now sponsoring FNSI.

Woodland Stitchalong Week 3

Week 3's project is a hoop pouch.
I don't use a hoop and haven't decided what I'll do with it.
It may end up in the gift cupboard.
We had to add a magnetic clip which I hadn't done before.
I've had some of these in my stash for years, not even sure
where I got them. Now I know how to put one in!

Woodland Stitchalong Week 2

Our project for week 2 of the Tilda Woodland Stitchalong
was this zippy pouch.
It may have taken me 3 attempts with the
second side of the zip but I eventually got it right!
I found this cute butterfly charm in my stash.

Friday Night With Friends

I finished the final block of my Lillian Elizabeth's Kitchen quilt.
This is an extra block to those of Jenny's Phyllis May's Kitchen pattern.
I decided I would add a photo of Nanny (that's what I called her).
You may remember seeing this. It is the rough layout for my quilt.
I'm pretty happy with this layout. Now I have to get my brain
working to work out the final block sizes and and then calculate
the strips of blue fabric to cut. Yesterday Mum gave me a doily
that was Nanny's and I plan to cut the circles/flowers of the doily
and add it to the quilt, along with some lace.
Thank you to Cheryll for host us last night.
You can see what others got up to here.

Woodland Stitchalong Week 1

The Tilda Lovers Club Woodland Stitchalong has begun.
Our first project is this candle mat.
I used the gorgeous tree fabric for my backing.
I'm looking forward to week 2's challenge!
