Sharmayne and I planned to work together to
After working on them all morning, we got to
the collar and bias section. We just couldn't work
out the next step and it was doing our heads in.
At about 2.30pm I said we needed to put it away
and come back to it in the morning.
I got up next morning and found a tutorial online.
What a difference that made.
Watching a video was much easier to
understand than the written instructions.
So apparently we were making a tailor made
coat, only in miniature!
It only took about 12 hours to make! LOL!
If I had been at home working on this
by myself, I think I would have given up.
Needless to say,
Rosie will only ever have one coat!
Hector admiring Rosie and Tilly's coats.
I also put my Heartstrings stitcheries together
to make a wall hanging for my sewing room.
I hadn't realised how many different fabrics
I had and there were a lot more I didn't put in.
And now I've added more to the collection
on the trip up! Oops!
I also got the borders put on my
Little Christmas Bird table runner.

I hope you've enjoyed reading
about our Scrub Stitchin' adventure.
I'm already looking forward to the next one!

Such a gorgeous - and very smart coat! Stunning. You really are a Tilda fan!! Your Heartstrings wall hanging is just gorgeous too. xx
That coat does look complicated. Well done getting it finished.
Great work on your heartstrings and your table runner. They look great, too.
And it looks like you had a lovely family Easter.
Scrub Stitchin looks like a wonderful time for friends to get together and work on interesting projects. The jacket looks wonderful!
Oh my! Good on you for persevering with that gorgeous coat. Such a dapper bunny! Love your Heartstrings hanging. Lovely family pic.
It was well worth the time Sharmaye and you spent making the jackets for Rosie and Tilda.
Enjoyed going along with you on your trip to SS.
Great family photo..
Your projects are wonderful Christine. Yes I have made that coat & I can well remember the hours that went into it. I made mine from a vintage wool blanket so it was especially tricky to manouvre. I have told my Luna rabbit she will not be getting any more clothing for awhile!! xx
Rosie and Tilly's coats turned out beautifully. Worth all the effort. Your Tilda collection would rival my batik collection. LOL
Well worth all the effort in the coat making Christine, they look fantastic. Wonderful Easter photo. The Heartstrings stitcheries are beautiful too, well done on getting them together.
We did have so much fun and I love the Easter display with all the bunnies - Rosie fits in very well! Lovely Easter photo with little Kade too.
Your little girls look sew chic in their new coats. I can’t believe how beautiful your stitching on them is. Your Easter photo is lovely.
Beautiful and creative, and your blog header is amazing! Beautiful photos. Thank you so much for sharing, and warm greetings from Montreal, Canada.
