Scrub Stitchin' 2025 - Part 1

Scrub Stitchin' has come and gone!
I left on the Monday morning and my first stop
was Corowa to pick up Sharmayne at
Country Fragrance for our road trip to Baradine.
We headed off early Tuesday morning to make
our way to our overnight stop at Dubbo.
Rosie and Hector came on the road trip and
made a new friend, Tilly. The three of them sat
quietly in the back the whole trip!
We checked out a few quilt shops on the way.
Rosie, Hector and Tilly wanted come into the
shop at Coonabrarabran and they had
fun in the Tilda section.
"These would make nice dresses!"
And played in the Easter display.
Rosie and Hector bought these Tilda fabrics for me!

After travelling more than 1,000km
over three days, we finally arrived at
 Scrub Stitchin' on Wednesday afternoon.
It was wonderful catching up with everyone.
We all got a goodie bag. I received the lovely
pin cushion and quilting gloves in the
"Make It, Bake It, Fake It" swap
which was gifted by Jules.
The theme for this year's Scrub Stitchin' was
"Winter Wonderland in the Warrumbungles".
We all dressed up for Saturday night's special dinner.
Sharmayne and I went as "Penguins on Parade"
With Chooky (a snowflake) and Kate.

Walking like penguins as it was all we
could do to keep our 'feet" on!

Here is the photo of everyone at last year's Scrub Stitchin'.
Do you notice anything?
I'm wearing the same dress! Haha!

All too soon it was time to say goodbye
to everyone. Sunday morning Sharmayne and I started
our trek back to Corowa. We had a fabulous time
and have already started planning for
for Scrub Stitchin' 2026! LOL!

I'll share the projects I worked on in Part 2.

Looks like you have some enablers traveling with you Christine, you had some interesting stops on the way. Love the group photos, must be a favourite dress you have. Always good to catch up at SS.

Another great trip and thank you for posting the map as for us non Aussies it can be tricky to imagine your route! And what a lovely time your little friends had in the quilting shop! xx

It was a fabulous few days. Your travelling companions on the back seat managed to get up to lots of mischief. It sounds like your road trip was fun too. I loved your costumes. Too clever.
