Kimberley Outback Adventure (Part 4)

Life at Kandiwal School.

The kids attend Kimberley School of the Air
(KSOTA) and also do other off-line work.
Scotty working on his maths.
Winston sits in the other classroom
as he is the only secondary school student.
There is assembly every couple of weeks with the KSOTA
teachers and all the children who attend.
They sing the national anthem. During the week,
different pieces of the children's work is uploaded to the teachers.
This work is shown so everyone can see what has been done just
as if they were all sitting in the same classroom having show and tell.
Merit awards are given out.
The award certificates are then posted to the kids.
It was Book Week when we were there
so the teachers are all dressed up.
Carmen-Lee waiting patiently for her kinder class.
The dogs all come to school too and just lie around outside.

The kids and I worked on a special project.
But I'll tell you all about this in another post.
Scotty showing some favouritism!
Helping Kingsley work on a lesson.
Occasionally guests from APT Wilderness Camp
come over to visit the school.
Any excuse for a cricket match!
One day we went along with the guests
to a waterhole not too far away for a picnic.
More swimming.

Jazzlyn picked a little bouquet of wild flowers.
Noel was the lucky recipient!
We had a movie night!
The movie of choice was The Sea Monster.
At interval we made popcorn.
That's probably enough for this post.
