Zooming Stitching!

Yesterday I spent the day, as in over 8 hours, stitching along while
zooming with girls from Australia and America.
Donna from Chookyblue was the organiser and it was lovely
to be able to talk to her. You get to make friends through blogging
but never get to actually meet them in person.
We have known each other through blogging for many years.

Anorina from Samelia's Mum and Ondrea from Crafty O
were also there and again, I've never spoken to them before,
just through the keyboard.

I also got to catch up with Sue from Kiwikids Page
Annette from Jindi's Cottage, Jo from ButterZ
Cheryll from Gone Stitchin' and Marina from Maisie and the Boys
all of whom I haven't seen in a very long time.
Hope I haven't missed anyone.
I also got to make some new friends.

What did I stitch while chatting?
First up, I added the extra half doily to
my Lillian Elizabeth's Kitchen quilt.
This seemed to balance it out better. I also quilted the final block.

Just the binding to go on now.
I am so happy with how this quilt has turned out.
I also did a little stitching.
Finished the pin cushion block and started the house.
Plus I finished adding another row to my hexagon quilt.

I had a fabulous day. The 8 hours went by so quickly.
I'm already looking forward to the next zoom stitching day.
Thanks again, Donna.

Kitchen Tea Goodies

I've been making things for a niece's bridal shower.
First up are six tea towels. Once again I used
Jennifer's tutorial at The Homemaker's Heart with Jennifer.
Of course I also had to make some glamorous gloves!
This is the link to Craft With Fee if you'd like to make some.
A fold up shopping bag.

I've also added some utensils to go with the gift bag.
The shower has been postponed until December
so I'm way ahead of schedule!

Friday Night Sew-In

I got an early start to FNSI and did some more quilting
on my Lillian Elizabeth's Kitchen.
Only one more block left to quilt!

I have decided to add the other half of this doily under
the tea cups to make it look more balanced.
I think I've worked out a way to attach the doily.
The first one was sewn into the seam but as the
quilt is already put together, I'll be carefully stitching it on.

After dinner I worked on the two bottom blocks
of a little project I'm working on.
Just have to trim them up and put it all together.

Thank you to Wendy for hosting us last night.
You can see what others got up to here.

Friday Night With Friends

I headed into my sewing room early and got to
work on Nelson's new quilt. The top is finished but I need to add
a panel to the backing as it isn't quite wide enough.
After I put the panel together, I found it needed extra 10 inches
or so in length for the quilter. I've been using all the leftovers
and have planned how I am going to add the extra length.
But it was starting to do my head in so I stopped before
I messed it up and will finish it today. Then I'll have to wait
until we're out of lock down to take it to my quilter.

After dinner I sat down to work on some more of my
Heartstrings stitcheries. Finished off this cute one.
And made a start on this one.
I also realised I hadn't stitched the little flower on
the caravan's flag so did that.
The pineapple block was done earlier in the week.
Thanks to Chez for hosting us last night.
