Some Secret Sewing Revealed!

My mortal in the Angels and Mortals Six Items Christmas Swap turned out to be my lovely friend Shez. (See this post for my gifts from my Angel, Lynda.) It was so much fun putting Shez' gifts together.
There was something for the tree.
Shez had commented on a link Melody had given, saying how much she liked this ornament. So I made her one!
Something smelly. A lavender bag along with some soap.
Something for the sewing room. A pin cushion/thread catcher, Christmas fabric and threads.
Something to eat. A tin of almond bread. As I was hand delivering my parcel to Shez at our Mill Rosie Friends get together in November, I was able to give her almond bread. Could you imagine if I had posted her parcel! She would have had a tin of almond bread crumbs! LOL!
Something to read. A fun book with a book mark.

Something for under the tree. Even if I say so myself, the cushion looks so much nicer in person.
I made this mug rug for Simone as she loves cats.
I found this cute mug and then made the rug with the colours of the cats.
A fat quarter bag for one of Mitchell's friends. I made one for Renee last year and was telling me how great it was for keeping her dancing bits and pieces in. I asked her if she would like another one and she jumped at it!

Finally, I can finally add some secret sewing
projects to my OPAM list! Hopefully, I might get to add another one or two before the end of the year!

More Gifts!

Lynda turned out to be my Angel in the Angels and Mortals Six Items Christmas swap for an
on-line group I am in.
Lynda stitched the most beautiful ornament. Something for the sewing room was three gorgeous fat quarters. The something smelly was soap with the most beautiful fragrance. Something to read is a book with Christmas stories. The something to eat was some yummy honey coated cashews. (Noel's eyes lit up with those!) The something for under the tree is a diary for next year, a gorgeous little book of sticky notes and a fold-up bag for shopping. You can never have too many shopping bags!
 Thank you Lynda.
My lovely friend Melody made me a gorgeous wool pin cushion. It is so soft to touch. Plus a yummy chocolate star. Thank you Melody.
Simone gave me a lovely stitchery pattern, along with little wooden buttons to go with it. There was also a pattern to make the cutest little pin cushion and a lovely Christmas tea towel. Thank you Simone.

Spring Swap and a Prize!

My on-line friends group has just had our Angels and Mortals Spring Swap. My Angel turned out to be my lovely friend Melody of The House on the Side of the Hill. Melody made me a wall hanging and a table runner. Melody knows that I love chickens and used some lovely chicken fabric for the borders. She also included  a fat quarter of the chicken fabric, a cute chicken door bell, some chocolate ladybirds and a cute little chicken button. All the presents were wrapped up with lovely red ric rac or ribbons so they will come in handy too.
Here's a close up of the lovely family wall hanging. Thank you Melody for my lovely gifts.

My mortal was Jenny of Elefantz. This is what I sent to Jenny. A floral bag, a fat quarter bag, flower brooch, nail file and I've just realised I forgot to take a photo of the fat quarter I sent.

Do you remember last month I entered Molly in the Pets on Quilts 2012 contest? Well Molly won a little prize!

Molly won a magnet from Kari of popdoggie.

Winter Wonderland!

I'm in an on-line stitching group and we just had our Angels and Mortals Winter Wonderland Swap. My secret mortal was Dale of Club Quilt Narromine. This is what I sent to Dale. A mug with Snowy Owls on it. A rug mug to match. Some yummy Ferrero Rocher "snowballs" and a fat quarter with snowflakes on it.
I tried to duplicate one of the owls on the cup.
My secret angel was Maree of On My Verandah and boy did she spoil me. A gorgeous twisty scarf which will be great at the footy, a beautiful lavendar bag with my initials, one of Maree's Ollie and May Designs patterns, a hot chocolate for one set, some marshmallows and yummy chocolate biscuits.
Isn't the lavendar bag lovely! It smells devine.
It's hard to get a good picture of the scarf but you can see what I mean by twisty.

Thank you Maree for my lovely goodies.

An Easter Swap!

I'm in an on-line stitching group and we had an Easter swap. My partner was Melody from The House on the Side of the Hill. I made her this little Easter wall quilt.
Here is a close-up of the stitchery.

My Angel was Michelle of Rag-Tag Stitchin' by Michelle Ridgeway. Michelle made me this very cute little bunny bag along with lots of lovely goodies.
Thank you Michelle for my lovely gifts.

I've finished downloading our holiday photos. Unfortunately the usb has filled up and I can't copy the photos from the laptop to the main computer for posting. As soon as I get another usb, I'll be able to show you what we got up to.
