Be My Valentine Hanging Heart

This is the "Be my Valentine" hanging heart for
the Tilda Lovers Club week 4 challenge.

The little rose is a leftover from the many I made for my
wedding dress back in 1995. I had lots of roses all around the neckline
of my dress. I never actually counted how many I made and stitched on
(they seemed to be never ending) but I know it seemed like a
good idea at the time when designing my dress!

Two Pin Cushions And A Needle Case

I finished these stitcheries three years ago and they sat in the
cupboard waiting patiently for me to make them into something.
This pattern is from Some Kind Of Wonderful by Anni Downs.
Trimming up all those Tilda scraps last week made
me get them out. The thread I had used worked perfectly.
I also made Week 3's challenge for the Tilda Lovers Club.
A pin cushion using selvages from our Tilda fabric.
I've been working on the layout of my Lillian Elizabeth's Kitchen quilt too.
There's just got one more block to embroider as I decided to
personalise the quilt with a photo of my grandmother on it.
The fabric has now been prepared ready for me to print the photo onto it.
Hopefully my printer behaves!

First Friday Night Sew-In For 2021

I got an early start to FNSI and got back to my trimming my
Tilda fabric scraps that I had started the day before.
I used a die cutter to cut the hexagons for my quilt and was
left with this shape fabrics. So I trimmed the fabrics to usable pieces.
My work station.
One pile of pretty little scraps!
And now I have a box of usable pieces.
Once I finished doing that, I laid out the 1 1/2 inch squares
I had been cutting for a project as I went along.
I also hemmed my nephew's cricket whites for him
but apparently mending doesn't count for FNSI! LOL!
Then I sat down with my feet up to work on my hexagon quilt.
I decided the scraps were too pretty to throw away
so now they are in this jar on my shelf!
Thank you to Wendy for hosting us.
You can see what the others got up to here.

First Finishes For 2021!

I've actually made the first two weekly challenges
with the Tilda Lovers Club.
Week one's heart using scrappy bits of Tilda fabric
and is filled with lavender.
Week two are were these gorgeous flowers. I decided to make two.
Not sure what I'll do with them yet.
Who doesn't love pretty wool felt?
I managed to find the piece of cream felt in my stash
that was just big enough to make my heart.
I obviously need more felt so off to the quilt shop I went!

Three little finishes in the first two weeks of 2021.
Last year I didn't have my first finish until June!
