A Fun Couple Of Days

On Friday I made my way to the Royal Exhibition Building for AQC. But what was more exciting is that I was finally going to meet Maria from Life On The Block. Maria and her daughter Sandra (Playing Tiddleywinks) had come over from Western Australia and are spending a few days here. Maria and I have been corresponding with each other for about 5 years after we were teamed up as swap partners in 2011.
We also met up with Helen (Helen's Patchwork Passion) and Sue (no blog). Of course, there were lots of other people
I bumped into but too many to mention!
Finally got a photo of Sue!
I bet you're wondering what I bought at AQC. Nothing very exciting! Some white hanky linen and a bottle of Bubble Jet Set for making my quilt labels as I had run out. There were so many beauftiful things that I just couldn't decide. I only had one thing on my list and that was straw needles. I didn't find the ones I wanted so that was one thing less. My main reason for going was to meet Maria and Sandra.
Maria and Sandra came to our place last night for dinner. Mel was supposed to join us so she could also meet the girls but unfortunately she is in hospital again. Sending you get well wishes Mel. We missed you.
Don't you just love my new little friend!
He was a gift from Maria and Sandra and was beautifully made by Maria. I've been wanted to make myself one of these for a long time. Now I don't have to!

He's now living with the rabbits!

I've had a lovely couple of days spending time with Maria and Sandra. Hopefully, one day I'll get to visit them in WA.

Are You Going To AQC?

I'm going on Friday and meeting up with
some very special ladies.

Maria from Life On The Block and her daughter, Sandra from Playing Tiddleywinks are coming over from Western Australia and we are finally going to get to meet in person.

Helen (Helen's Patchwork Passion) and Sue (no blog)
are going to meet up with us too.
Hopefully, Melody will also make it.

We plan to stop for a cuppa and lunch about 12.30 in the dining area. If you are there, keep an eye out for us. Or you may see us walking up and down the shopping aisles!

Two Stitching Days In A Row!

Saturday I headed up to Patch n Quilt in Gisborne
to catch up with these lovely ladies.

There was lots of laughing and chatting.
Once again we had a swap. This one was a Bird theme.
Once again there was a wonderful selection of gifts.
I came home with this lovely bag made by Elyte.
Such beautiful appliqueing.
 I made a sewing folder.
 This went home with Jo.
I think she got my gift the last time too!

Thanks to everyone for another wonderful get together.
Thanks to Mary too for being a lovely hostess.
We did enjoy those lollies!
I sent an ornament to Barb for Christmas and unfortunately it arrived broken in the mail.
So I made Barb another one.
Sunday I was lucky enough to go to another
stitching day with some other lovely ladies.
How lucky was I to get two sewing days!
The newest issue of Australian Patchwork and Quilting is out. There is an article on our 2015 NOTYQ Quilt Exhibition.

A Day In Town!

I headed into town today for a special get together with these wonderful ladies. The lovely Fiona from Bubz Rugz was down from Queensland so what better reason
was there for getting together. After meeting under the clocks at Flinders Street, we headed off to find
somewhere to sit, chat and have lunch.
We ended up at PJ O'Brien's Irish Pub at Southgate. We all agreed the food was lovely, the company even better!
After lunch we somehow found ourselves outside L'uccello. Of course we had to go in!

Thanks Mel, Fiona, Shez, Marina and Sue
for a great day out.
It was so nice to finally meet you in person,
Fiona and to give you a real hug.

My 12" Mini Christmas Quilt

This is the lovely mini I received from Kim.
 Look at all that stitching!
Jo got the mini that I made.
This is the Snow-Pear Man from Jenny's Stitchery Club.
I had this lovely Christmas fabric and decided to make a blue Christmas mini for something a bit different.
Linking up with SuperMomNoCape.

Christmas Get Together

It was such a lovely day yesterday when I caught up with the girls for our Christmas get together. We missed you Melody, Shez and Helen. It was certainly a lot quieter without Mel and Shez! Helen is always quiet!
Although this lot did make up for it.
Here's naughty Ann and Jo getting up to mischief!
