Chookshed Stitchers 2024 Challenge - March

It's time to share our next 2024 Challenge project.
My project #4 was to work on my Heart Strings stitcheries.

Not only did I work on them but I finished them!
These were fun little stitcheries to do.
I still haven't decided what I'm going to do with them.
While I love Natalie Bird's Heart Strings Quilt,
I really don't have anywhere to hang it.
I'll just tuck them away until I make up my mind.

Now to wait until tomorrow when Deana announces
the project number we will work on in April.

A Baby Quilt Plus Two More!!

I have a niece expecting and it was her baby
shower last Saturday. As they don't know what they are
having I made the quilt for either a boy or girl.
I bought a few metres of this Australian animal fabric last year.
I thought it was very cute with kangaroos, wombats and echidnas.
The fabrics aren't really showing up well,
they are more gelato colours.
When I was going through my photos I realised
that I hadn't posted about the twin baby quilts
I made last year for my lovely next door
neighbour Chelsea's baby shower.
It was a couple of days before we left
for our big WA road trip
and I just didn't get a chance to blog about them.
They now belong to Bernard and Eugene.
The colour shows up better in this photo.
I bound one quilt in green and the other in yellow
so boys will know which one is theirs.
Noel and I often have the boys for an hour or so
to give Chelsea a bit of a break.
They are nine months old now.
We had them for a whole day a couple of weeks ago.
I don't know how Chelsea does it on her own!
That's Chester, their dog.
We took him for a walk too as he doesn't get out much!
This is Bernard.
And this is Eugene.
Our favourite neighbours!
 (sorry Chelsea and David!)

Austin and Paris' Wedding!

Introducing the new Mr and Mrs MacDonald,
Austin and Paris!
Mitchell, Indy, Paris, Austin, Nelson and Rhie.
Last Saturday was the big day!

Mitchell and Nelson were Austin's Best Men.

A lot of you know that I love dresses and always wear one.
Of course I had to have a very special one this occasion.
I bought a gorgeous dress back in March last year
which I just love and then, 12 days before the wedding,
I bought this one!
So after bragging to Noel that my dress and shoes
cost less than his hired suit and I got to keep them,
 I could no longer brag!

Their cute little poodle Ralph was the ring bearer.
He even had a little tuxedo!
It's a bit hard to see but there were hundreds of
little pearl beads stitched all over her dress.
Noel and the boys waiting for Paris to arrive.
Paris showing off her garters.
These three (one above and two below) are some
sneak peek photos from the official photographer.
I can't wait until we get to see all of them.
I just love the look on Paris' face in this one.
The little bag Paris carried on the day.
The ribbon roses are more from my wedding dress.
Paris made all the place settings.
The little heart is embedded with seeds to be
planted and flowers will grow.
My Mother of the Groom corsage.
Noel, Mitchell and his gorgeous girl, Steph.
There's really no photos at the moment of us as a
family until we get the ones from the photographer.
Paris made these glasses for a bit of fun.
Paris put this little video together.

The groom was handsome (I may be a bit biased),
the bride was stunning, the weather was perfect
and it was the most wonderful day.
Now I officially have a daughter!

It's hard to believe they have been married a week already!
