Tuesday Treasures With Melody!

I'm joining Melody today with Tuesday Treasures.
Pets is the theme of the day!
Our four legged treasures, Molly and Ginger.
As you may remember, we lost our beautiful girl,
Ginger, back in September.
Wasn't she just the cutest pup!
Molly is still getting up to mischief but has quietened down quite a bit. Maybe she is just starting to mature.
She does miss Ginger, as we all do. Having Molly has made it a little easier after losing Ginger.
Who would have thought that this very cute
little girl would become a chewer and chew up
anything she could get hold of!

Dogs aren't the only pets here at MacDonald's Patch.
We also have Billy the Galah, a cockatiel, four budgies and three gold fish in the outside pond.

We lost our cheeky Lovebird, Lucky, a few months ago too.

So there you have our Pet Treasures.

Pet Treasures everyone has.

Tuesday Treasures With Melody!

I'm linking up with my lovely friend Melody (The House on the Side of the Hill) for her Tuesday Treasures.
This is my Teddy. His name is Teddy (so original!). I got him when I was born and, as you can see, he was very well loved.
I don't know if you can see it, but the only fur he has left is on the inside of his ears! His nose has long gone but at least he still has his eyes. Teddy's insides were foam which has disintegrated over the years. His arms and legs are only half the length they used to be! There is even a big hold where his stomash used to be! Many, many years ago, a kindly neighbour made him his little jump suit to try to hold him together. Even that is falling apart.
This is Teddy's friend. I made him about 15 years ago. He was the only teddy I made. I just didn't catch that bear bug!

I hope you've enjoyed meeting Teddy and his friend. (How awful! I don't think I ever gave him a name!)
I think I'll call him Winston!

Tuesday Treasures with Melody!

I'm linking up with Melody (The House on the Side of the Hill) for her Tuesday Treasures.
As it was our anniversary last month, I thought I would share this special treasure with you. It is my wedding bouquet, dried, pressed and framed.
The roses were champagne, pink and peach. I couldn't get the scanner to work so this is a photo of a photo and doesn't really show it very well.

Head over to Melody's and see what other treasures are being shared today. Congratulations to Mel as today's Tuesday Treasures is her 1001st post!

Tuesday Treasures With Melody!

I'm linking up with Melody today for her Tuesday Treasures.
I thought I would show you my Royal Albert Crazy Tea Set.
I started collecting these many years ago, way before I was married.
I would put a set away on lay-by, pay it off and
then lay-by another one!
The one on the bottom shelf is also Royal Albert but is one with the side plate attached to the saucer. This one I was lucky enough to receive my from lovely Mother-In-Law when she was downsizing. Did you notice the lovely tea trolley? My Mother-In-Law made this over 40 years ago. She went to a night class at a local technical school.
I have only used this tea set once! Before Noel and I got married (we were engaged), I had a tea party here with my Mother, my Grandmother, Noel's Mother and a very special lady known as "My Other Mother".
I would love to have them on display on the trolley all the time but with three boys (and a naughty dog) in the house, this is where they live. I enjoyed taking them out of the cupboard today and I think I'll have to arrange a tea party. Mel will have to come along as it's because of her that I pulled them out! We can play "ladies"! Of course, we'll have scones with jam and cream!

Tuesday Treasures with Mel!

Tuesday Treasures with Melody from The House on the Side of the Hill is back for 2013. This year Tuesday Treasures will be a monthly event. I think I'll be able to find a treasure to share once a month.
My treasure is My Learn to Cook Book. It is the first cook book in my now quite large collection. My parents gave it to me for one of my birthdays. I think I was six or seven.

In the days before fairy cakes (or patty cakes) become known as cupcakes!
I remember making the coconut ice.

Head over to Mel's to see who else has some
treasures to share!
A lovely package arrived yesterday. It was from Sandi of A Legacy of Stitches. Some lovely Christmas fabric from Jacquelynne's (The Noble Wife) range. Thank you Sandi.
