2012 Outback Adventure Part 1

Just a quick post for a catch up. All the washing has been done (six loads!) and most of it dried and put away. Still need to clean out the camper and then get back to normal life.
Here's just a quick photo. We went on a camel trek at sunset with Uluru (Ayers Rock) in the background. There was a big thunder storm over the rock but we were in the sunshine. It was quite spectacular watching the lightening over Uluru. I think the camel trek was the highlight of the trip. We did and saw many other things but I'll slowly post about them.

One thing about such a long road trip, I got a lot of stitching done. I found I was able to sew while travelling along. I managed to get five stitcheries completed! It certainly made sitting in the car for a long time go quickly. I bought a car dvd player to keep the boys entertained. Boy was that worth every cent. They travelled so well and I think we only got one or two "are we there yet?" questions!

Yes that is a wonderful shot....
How were your bottoms after the trek???
It's great if you can stitch while your DH is driving along. I made heaps of hexies...
