Mel and I headed over the Wonga Park for the 2013 Quilts in the Barn. This year's theme is "All About Chintz" and is hosted by the lovely Linda Collins.
After the terrible storms of the day before,
it turned out to be a beautiful day.
it turned out to be a beautiful day.
There was so much to see on this quilt. There was embroidery, piecing, broderie perse and applique.
The top left is an antique hexagon fragment.
A close-up of the hexagons.
Can you believe that the papers in this quilt
had dates from 1793-1803!
Linda, Mel and me.
We were so lucky to be invited by Linda to go to her
sewing room to see her Wall of Mini Quilts.
They are just so much nicer in person.
We also caught up with Gail Pan. It was lovely to be
able to thank Gail personally for the prize
