They Say Things Come In Threes!

Well, our third big expense happened last night.
Driving Nelson to football training, a kangaroo jumped down from a small height and I only saw it at the last second. I couldn't do anything and it crashed into our car. Nelson nearly had heart failure as he was sitting in the front seat right where it hit. We turned around and went back but the kangaroo must have hopped off. Considering the damage that could have happened, only the mirror was broken. There's also a small dent at the base of the window. The roo was quite a big one so I think we were very lucky.

We have travelled up and down this road nearly every
day for over 13 years (this is the way we go to
school and football). Although we often see the
kangaroos and they jump in front of us, this is the first
time we have actually collided.
Mitchell was very pleased that I had decided to take my car and not his. I have been driving his a lot so that Mitchell is getting the practice when I pick him up.
And the other two expenses? Last month Noel had his 25-30 year old trailer stolen from the yard at work so he just had my brother make him a new one. Thanks Pete!
There's also my new camera. It has now been shipped and I am patiently waiting for it to arrive.

Have a great weekend everyone.

PS. I still can't get use to Mitchell's hair (or lack there of)!

Oh my goodness Christine. Thank goodness you weren't hurt. Roos can do so much damage when you collide with them....close call! I am glad Hubby has a nice new trailer.

Oh my. That's is so horrible when that happens. At least your car is still drive able. My daughter has not long had her car repaired from hitting one. My hubby and I have both hit them too. They are a nuisance.

So relieved to hear you and Nelson are ok and not too much damage to the car but a big fright factor none the less. Glad to hear Noel has a new trailer and yes I also hope nothing else goes wrong for you and your family this year :) Barb.

The roos can be a real problem the way they jump out across the roads.... you were very lucky it only caused a bit of damage and you didn't have a prang! Sorry to hear about the other 2 issues... guessing somebody is wearing a beanie now to keep the head warm???

Roos can do so much damage I have had a few near misses
One time one jumped on my bonnet and left a huge back leg print and I did not even get any damage

Kangaroos playing kamikaze are dangerous, glad you're okay. As for Mitchell's lack of hair Just think of the savings you're making on hair products and his head must be cold!
