FNWF and First Footy Injury For 2016!

Thanks to Chez for once again hosting us for FNWF.
I got an early morning start as I joined Helen and Sue (no blog) for some stitching. Unfortunately, Mel couldn't join us. I then stitched some more with everyone else later on.
I have finally started my Preston Bag by Dawn Hay.
It was one of the patterns we received at the 2014 Let's Get Stitched. You can't rush these things!
We had our first trip to hospital for the 2016 Footy Season this morning! Austin's shoulder was dislocated during the 3rd quarter. The trainer wasn't able to get it to pop back in, so it was a trip to the Austin Hospital.
Luckily, it popped back in during the car ride. We must have picked a good time as we were seen in about 5 minutes!
He was x-rayed and then seen by a  physio.
No major damage was done.
He'll miss a few games which doesn't make him very happy!
I think we were in and out in an hour and a half! That has to be a record. Here he is waiting for Noel to come back and pick us up. Usually you are there for hours!

Lovely project.
Poor Austin, you'd expect good service when you share the same name as the hospital?

Lovely stitching with friends. Love what you are working on. Poor Austin very uncomfortable.....missing footy is probably the worst part!

Hmm! you reminded me I have that Preston Bag pattern tucked away somewhere..
Poor Austin, pleased it wasn't a serious injury. That was a quick turn around at the hospital..

So sorry I didn't get to stitch with you. I love what you are working on. Poor Austin, bad luck right at the beginning of the season.

Beautiful project you are working on Christine. Hope Austin is ok, no fun hanging around hospitals so it was good you were in and out in reasonable time.

Your stitching looks lovely. I too thought all dislocated shoulders pop them selves back in but a friend who fell off his ladder a few weeks ago with a dislocated shoulder and broken ribs has the kind that shows as this big lump on the top of his shoulder and might have to have an operation to move it back in! Yikes! So glad Austin's one was solved so quickly and he'll be chomping at the bit to be back playing footy soon I guess.

Oh my! Your poor son! It must be the week for accidents as I had hubby in hospital on Friday. I hope Austin has a quick recovery so mum can relax. Love your stitching.
