Friday Night Sew-In On Retreat!

After being cancelled last year and postponed twice this year,
Melody and I were finally off to NOTYQ retreat at Myrniong!
Friday morning we headed up to Ballarat.
We had our lunch at the Gatehouse Cafe at the
Ballarat New Cemetery, "new" even though
it was established in 1867!
We were both good and had the healthy cauliflower stew.
It was delicious.
Then we went to visit Morgan at our favourite
shop in Ballarat, The Crafty Squirrel.
I forgot to take a photo inside on this visit.
There are so many unique and gorgeous things inside.
We made our way back to Ballan and visited
This photo is actually from a visit there a couple of
weeks ago when we made a quick decision to go to
Ballan for lunch after we came out of lock down.
We also went to Mill Rose Cottage.
These Tilda fabrics wanted to come home with me!
Next stop - retreat! My spot all set up for stitching.

There may have been a champagne or two over the weekend!

And scones of course!

It was so wonderful seeing everyone after all this time.
We all had so much news to share from over the
past 18 months or so. There was such a feeling of excitement
on Friday and by Sunday afternoon when we were leaving,
it felt as though life was "back to normal"!
I know it isn't but that's how it felt.

Friday was also Friday Night Sew-In with Wendy.
I finished stitching the binding and rod pocket
on Lillian Elizabeth's Kitchen quilt. I've even got the label on!
Will do another post on the finished quilt.

How fabulous you and your friend, Melody, were able to go to the retreat and enjoy the company of all the other ladies. It must have felt wonderful after such a long time. Those Tilda fabrics that had to go home with are lovely. How beautiful is Lillian Elizabeth's Kitchen pretty is. Such pretty blues.

I just loved the view you had from your sewing spot at retreat!! Absolutely gorgeous. The Tilda hexie mat is adorable and I see more hexie fussy-cutting with your new fabrics. I hope you're having a GREAT week!
