Birthday Parties And Stitching With Friends!

We survived our weekend of birthday parties! I did an awful lot of baking during the week.

These were the cakes for last night's friends party. I think there may have been more cup cakes still in the pantry!
Having fun with Nelson on Monday night.
The party group. I have to say that these young people were so well behaved and polite. You didn't even know there were so many here.
Mitchell and his lovely best friend Renee!
If you're wondering about that scratch on Mitchell's face, he got it last week at footy. He had a bad couple of days last week. He got scratched and copped a boot to the throat on Sunday. Then at school on Monday, he was in the wrong place at the wrong time and copped a soccer ball full pelt at the side of his head!
Everything was organised for Monday night so I managed to get to Melody's (The House on the Side of the Hill) for an afternoon of stitching yesterday. Melody made some beautiful pumpkin soup and Simone (Quilts n Cats) made some yummy scones. Some time after we left, Melody unfortunately burnt her hand. If you get a chance, pop over and say hi to her to cheer her up.
Austin, Mitchell and Nelson. It won't be too long before Austin has caught up to Mitchell in height!

Sorry to hear Mitchell has been in the wars so to speak. I'm sure having all his friends there to help him celebrate his Birthday has cheered him up.
