Meet Molly!

We have a new addition to our family. This is Molly and we got her yesterday.

Molly is a red heeler like Ginger, although she is a lot lighter and has red patches on her back. In fact, Molly and Ginger are related (it wasn't planned that way). We found Ginger through the Trading Post 13 1/2 years ago. On Tuesday I came across an ad for some red and blue heeler pups. We've been looking for a while as we wanted to get another one due to Ginger being such a good dog.

When Noel rang the man he thought the address was very familiar. Sure enough, it was the same place we bought Ginger from! He told us that Ginger's father only died last year at 18 years of age! Molly's father and Ginger have the same grandfather. It's nice to think they have the same blood line.
First thing to be done when we got home was a bath! Molly was covered in fleas! eek! Ginger never has fleas and we didn't want her to get them.
After her bath, Nelson sat with Molly in the sun and continued to pick off more fleas (he drowned them in a bowl of water). I'm going to give her another bath today and hopefully get rid of any we've missed.
Here's the two of them just before we went to bed last night. Molly was so good. We didn't hear a peep from her until Noel left for work at 5.30. She cried for about 2 minutes and then went back to sleep.
Ginger and Molly are getting on very well. They had a little play outside and Molly was very good and did some business while out there. Oh, yes. It's back to toilet training! LOL! Thank goodness we have slate on the floor.
Nelson and I went out to the shops and Nelson picked out a couple of toys for Molly to play with. We definitely don't want any shoes chewed! Well, I'd better go do something. You don't realise just how much of a time waster a new pup is!

nothing better than wasting time with a new puppy. She is so cute and the old girl will teach her the ropes too.
If you try a spot on flea remover like advantage it will wipe out the fleas in 24 hours.

She is very cute - I hope that all the fleas go quickly, though.

She is beautiful, and I sure she is worth every minute of extra work that a puppy brings. It all settles down so quickly compared to a human baby!
