Last night was the Diamond Creek Little Athletics Club Presentation Night. Here is Austin with his fellow
Under 15's team mates, Kwaby, Will and Peter.
Austin and Kwaby were named as
Co-Captains for the 2014/2015 Season.
Here's Peter helping Austin on with his new jacket.
Two very happy boys!
Congratulations Austin and Kwaby.
The Captains who were there last night -
Will (2012/2013), Kwaby, Austin,
Peter (2013/2014) and Stephanie (2013/2014).
The guest speaker was weightlifter, Simplice Riboeom. He told us his story about growing up in Cameroon and how he was one of the nine Cameroon athletes who came to Australia for the 2006 Commonwealth Games and never went home. He competed in the 2010 Dehli Commonwealth Games and won Gold for Australia!
We all got to hold his medal. You don't often get the chance to see one of these medals in person.
Here is a link to find out more about his journey from Cameroon to Australia.
So by the time we got home, no sewing was actually done!
I did get a little done earlier in the afternoon.
I've started the next block on my sampler.
Head over to Chez's blog to see what
everyone else got up to.

I was much like you Christine and didn't actually sew in the evening. I think your excuse is better than mine though. Congrats to the boy!
