Remember this I showed you a couple of posts ago? I still felt it looked a little girly (even though Chez told me she didn't feel it was). I just wasn't happy with it.
So I went and got some green to add to it.
Anzac Day I sewed all the tumblers together
and I am much happier with it now.
I bet after all this, the baby will turn out to be a girl!
Here's a close-up of some of the fabrics. Sorry about the photos. There wasn't much light inside at the time. I'm going to piece the left overs into squares for the backing.
It can then be a reversible quilt and I get to
use up the rest of the fabric!
I hope you are all having a lovely weekend.
We'll be heading off to the footy soon!

One lucky little baby will live it, it looks fabulous
I think it's a lucky baby, whether it's a boy or a girl. Fun selection of fabrics.
thats a beautiful quilt Christine.
They have come together well with the addition of the green. Looking good.
Lovely...the green sets off the tumblers nicely...must be the day for piecing leftovers from the quilt top into the backing, I'm doing the same! :)
Love how it's turned out Christine

How did the footy go?
Hello Christine.
Perfect for any baby. Have fun quilting it.
Happy days.

Lovely quilt! I've often wanted to have a go at making something in that tumbler design but keep putting it off in case it's too hard :-(
Would you have an hour to spare one day to come over for a cake and cuppa, and talk me through it? Pretty please??
It's beautiful! You did a fantastic job! :)
really lovely...

Love the tumbling blocks in the fun 30's prints.
I think the green border looks great too.
