How To Get Out Of Going To The Dentist!

Mitchell had a dental appointment after school today but I had to cancel it. At the end of the day, boys being boys, were mucking around. Mitchell was accidently pushed into a classroom window. I don't know who got the biggest shock, Mitchell or Darcy! He is okay. A few little cuts but nothing major. When we got home, I used sticky tape to lift the little pieces of glass from his shoulder and arms.

You may just be able to make out the white school shirts in the reflection. Mitchell has returned to Plenty Valley Christian College as he realised sport was not the direction he wanted to go in for his career. It was a very mature thing for him to decide at 16 years of age (although it would have been a bit easier if he had told us before school started, not 3 days in). He is now studying Year 11 VCE and has a new attitude towards school.

Glad to hear Mitchell is ok but a bit of a drastic way to avoid the dentist not too sure I'd try for this one when my next visit looms and yes it was very mature of him to realise where his direction in life really was and brave enough to say something even if it was a bit late, better late than never :) Barb.

Glad that he is OK... quite lucky I think! Better now than never making decisions for his future. You're correct... it was very mature! :)

Lucky there wasn't a trip to the emergency department.

Glad your son is okay. I'm not so keen on the dentist either. With boys you are never sure what will happen. My grandson is always coming home with some sort of injury. Hugs.....

Hello Christine,

Gosh hope that glass is all out. Mitchell made the right decision by him, sometimes they just have to try it before they really know, good luck for his school year. Dentist next week??

Happy days.
